Virtual Nurse Educator

Her experience in Virtual Nursing includes assisting with the development of new virtual care delivery models and aiding in the evaluation of the technology and how to efficiently integrate new technology into delivering healthcare. She assisted in educating clinical staff in the process of new workflows and virtual care delivery. She created and implemented an orientation process for new and existing employees including developing educational material, competencies, skills check-offs, and managing and teaching via Google Classroom.

Emily was one of the subject matter experts who helped the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) & Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board (MSNCB) create, write, and develop the upcoming Certified Acute Virtual Registered Nurse Examination (CAVRN).

Fun Fact:

Emily loves to travel and experience new places. She has flown in an off doors helicopter tour in Hawaii, rode a snowmobile on a glacier in Iceland, swam with sea turtles in Belize, and rode jet skis to an abandoned ship in Turks and Caicos.
